What does Somatic mean?
The word soma means “body” in Greek. Somatic means “of the body.” Somatic coaching is a method of connecting your cognitive thinking, or mind, with your sensation and emotion feeling body.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance. I do want my support to be accessible for the whole community, so offer pricing on a sliding scale. Please contact me do discuss what is feasible for you.
How much are your sessions?
Sessions range from $75–$200, depending on length, services, and need. Somatic coaching is most beneficial in a series of sessions, and I offer discounts for packages of 5 or 10 sessions. I work with clients on a sliding scale model, so please be sure to let me know what is possible and we can find a price that works for you.
Are you Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice Sensitive?
I am a neurodivergent, cis, straight, white woman. While I have done extensive training in the anti-oppression and DEIJ spaces, I continue to do my own learning every day. In my practice, I strive to build an inclusive and affirming space for everyone. I welcome you to share as much or as little as you want with me in order to help you feel comfortable.
Do I need to be a hiker to book a Mindful Outdoor Experience?
Not at all. Mindful Outdoor Experiences are gentle walks. We cover very little distance and we move at a snail’s pace in order to truly experience Nature. I am committed to these practices being accessible to everyone, so please reach out if you require accessibility accommodations that I can support around.
Are sessions in person or virtual?
All services can be offered virtually or in person (if you are local to Connecticut). For meeting and retreat facilitation, I am able to travel out of state and country depending on the needs of the group.
